Longtime Media Veteran will Develop Agency’s Innovation Pipeline
NEW YORK – April 11, 2016 – JConnelly, a leading communications and marketing firm, has tapped 25-year media veteran Ray Hennessey, the former Editorial Director of Entrepreneur, to serve in the newly created role of Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Hennessey is charged with developing cutting-edge technology platforms and content systems both for the agency and its clients.

Mr. Hennessey will initially spearhead efforts to build and enhance JConnelly’s content development and distribution capabilities. His focus will extend to all areas of the business, including marketing and video, while also devising innovative revenue streams such as licensing and sponsorships.

An accomplished journalist and business leader, Mr. Hennessey has held senior-level positions in print, broadcast and digital media. During his tenure at Entrepreneur, Mr. Hennessey grew the audience fourfold and helped launch the Entrepreneur360 and Top Company Culture franchises, as well as the
Entrepreneur Network video channel. In addition, Mr. Hennessey led Entrepreneur’s investment in Alley, a co-working community in New York City, where he continues to serve as a senior advisor.
Prior to Entrepreneur, Mr. Hennessey helped launch the FOX Business Network, where he served as founding Business News Director. Previously, he was editor at SmartMoney.com and Dow Jones, a daily on-air contributor at CNBC and the IPO columnist at The Wall Street Journal.
