Then-known as Jennifer Connelly Public Relations, the firm launches on March 15 with a single client, Alpha Hedged Strategies Fund.
The single fund with seed investments of $12 million will grow into a multiple fund platform with nearly $1 billion in assets in just over 5 years, supported by Jennifer’s media prowess. relationship building skills and understanding of the financial space.
The team grows
The firm breaks from its solopreneur roots, adding a media relations specialist and writer to support a growing roster of clients in the financial and technology industries.
Pay it forward
Jennifer Connelly joins the board of Easter Seals of Greater New York, which becomes the first non-profit organization to receive pro-bono services from the firm.
“Doing well by doing good” continues to be an important value for the firm and has helped us serve our communities along with dozens of worthy causes and organizations over the years.
The firm opens the doors of its first office in Morristown, N.J. and adds Karen Pellicone to oversee growing HR and operations needs.
Expanding beyond financial
As the global economic crisis deepens, the agency reinforces its financial roots, supporting a number of clients who advance the “breakaway advisor” movement. The firm also diversifies, adding new staff to support a growing consumer division.
Precursor to content marketing
Michelle Pittman joins the agency as a writer and content strategist. In partnership with the agency’s growing PR team, she develops the Content Hub, an early version of today’s complete content marketing offering.
Video opens new doors
The agency launches Jennifer Connelly Interactive Productions or JCIP, a video and social division providing commercial-quality production services. The team is soon put to work to capture the energy and collaboration that makes the agency a “Best Place to Work,” which it wins for the first time.
The agency opens its first Manhattan office to accommodate its growing team.
PR and video services combine to produce the agency’s first viral video, an animation for longtime client HighTower.
Ready for change
Ray Hennessey joins as Chief Innovation Officer. The agency rebrands to JConnelly, better reflecting its growing services beyond the realm of traditional PR, and launches SEE|Through, its unique crisis and issues management methodology.
Headed to the Midwest
JConnelly opens a Chicago office and adds Mat Murchison as Chief Financial Officer.
Celebrating 15 Years
JConnelly marks its 15th anniversary. The agency launches a CSR division aimed at helping sustainable companies better connect with stakeholders through emotionally-driven storylines.
