Carol provides ongoing guidance and counsel to JConnelly’s senior strategists and communications professionals, ensuring that overall campaign tactics align with our clients’ business goals.
As president of the agency, Carol oversees the implementation of corporate strategy across departments. She is responsible for guiding employee development programs and is integral to nurturing JConnelly’s outstanding culture—a key driver of the agency’s growth and success.
Throughout her career, Carol has devised and executed standout, interactive campaigns for highly regarded clients in a variety of industries. She is especially skilled at corporate positioning, reputation management, and the creation of fully integrated campaigns that cross the spectrum of marketing, PR and social strategies.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Carol managed marketing and public relations for the Women’s Fund of New Jersey.
Karen is responsible for the day-to-day operations of JConnelly, as well as overseeing the strategic development and execution of the company's corporate business plans. Karen leads business planning activities, risk management and legal activities, organizational budgeting processes and human resources for the agency.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Karen was a buyer at housewares retailer Lechters, where she oversaw a $65 million budget and was responsible for purchasing merchandise for 650 stores and developing and achieving sales and marketing plans, as well as maintaining inventory levels and gross-margin dollars.
With a diverse background that spans virtually all aspects of the communications industry, Michelle helps conceptualize and implement integrated campaigns for JConnelly’s clients. She heads JConnelly’s new business development and marketing functions and ensures that the agency’s unique value and integrated service capabilities are accurately communicated to clients and prospects.
A key member of JConnelly’s leadership team, Michelle is charged with ensuring that the firm is on target to meet strategic mid- and long-range goals. She also works closely with communications professionals across departments on high-priority projects and contributes to the overall development of the agency’s staff.
Previously, Michelle served as head of JConnelly’s specialized content team. Before joining the agency, she led integrated communications campaigns for clients in a range of industries, including finance, legal, real estate and professional services. She began her career as a reporter, working for several daily newspapers.
An accomplished journalist and business leader, Ray develops cutting-edge technology platforms and content systems for JConnelly and its clients.
With more than 25 years of media and management experience, Ray has spent his career at the convergence of traditional and emerging media. Most recently, he served as Editorial Director for Entrepreneur, where he helped launch the Entrepreneur360 and Top Company Culture franchises, as well as the Entrepreneur Network video channel.
Previously, Ray helped launch the FOX Business Network, where he served as founding Business News Director. Earlier in his career, he was editor at SmartMoney.com and Dow Jones, a daily on-air contributor at CNBC and the IPO columnist at The Wall Street Journal.
A successful film professional with more than 25 years of experience, Steven has worked in all aspects of the business, including corporate marketing communications, feature films, documentaries and broadcast television. He oversees all visual communications projects for JConnelly.
Steven’s producing and directing work with JConnelly has gained numerous accolades, including AVA Digital Awards, Telly Awards and Hermes Creative Awards.
A product of NYU Film School (in the days when they used film), Steven's credits also include various producing and production roles with projects for PBS, Merrill Lynch, Charlie Rose, LucasFilm, BlackRock, Warner Bros., and many more.
Bob oversees the development of editorial content for JConnelly and its clients, including strategic messaging, news releases, blogs and other written materials that are vital to the success of the agency’s integrated campaigns.
In addition to developing the writing skills and talents of all JConnelly’s employees, Bob oversees the agency’s primary writers and provides ongoing coaching and training to help them improve their writing skills.
Bob's career, prior to joining the agency, spans more than three decades. He has worked as a business journalist covering a variety of industries including financial services, distilled spirits, wine and beer, restaurants and food service, music, heavy construction and mining. He most recently served as Managing Editor of Investment Advisor.
As Editorial Director of the Adams/Jobson Beverage Group, Bob was responsible for the editorial content of four magazines and seven annual publications. In that role, he was considered one of the nation's leading experts on beverage trends and his comments on industry issues regularly appeared in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes and BusinessWeek, as well as on CNBC and Bloomberg News Radio.
For many years, Bob was active in the International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC), serving several terms on the organization's Board of Directors, including stints as Secretary and Treasurer.
Chris is a veteran entrepreneur responsible for connecting JConnelly with great companies and potential clients. She nurtures prospect relationships, calling on her diverse business background to help companies understand how the agency supports a variety of business needs and goals. She additionally plays a critical role in serving as the JConnelly’s “eyes and ears” in the market, informing new service offerings, marketing programs and partnership opportunities in conjunction with the agency’s marketing department.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Chris successfully parlayed her background in the health-and-sciences field into a lucrative coaching career. Her exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with her considerable business and marketing acumen helped her establish a successful practice as a specialized consultant, working closely with dental practitioners to increase the productivity and profitability of their practices.
As a military wife, Chris has traveled extensively, both in the United States and abroad, amassing a diverse roster of business contacts.
Eric has more than 25 years of experience driving clients’ businesses and empowering consumers and influencers to take action. Throughout his career, Eric has taken a proactive role in virtually all types of communications initiatives, including strategic counsel, product launches/revitalization, issues management, media relations and new business development.
Eric is fluent in a wide array of industry sectors, including financial services, lifestyle and consumer products, business-to-business services, consumer technology, consumer healthcare, sports and sporting goods, and food and beverage. His past clients include Bank of America, The Hartford, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Reebok, Microsoft, AT&T, Hasbro, PepsiCo, Starbucks, Yahoo!, IKEA, Anheuser-Busch, BMW and the State of Connecticut.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Eric served as Senior Vice President of Adams & Knight. He has also held senior positions at FleishmanHillard, Weber Shandwick and Prosek Partners.
With more than 15 years of financial PR experience, James is responsible for the long-term strategy and direction of JConnelly’s financial client campaigns. An expert in the mutual fund space, James has successfully managed and coordinated PR and marketing communications campaigns for a number of asset management firms.
Throughout his career, he has yielded high-profile coverage for his clients in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Financial Advisor, Financial Planning, Forbes, Investment Advisor and Investor’s Business Daily, as well as securing regular appearances on Bloomberg TV, CNBC and Fox Business.
Prior to JConnelly, James was a member of the media relations team for the Investment Company Institute (ICI), the national association of the U.S. investment company industry. Based in Washington, D.C., he has delivered presentations on communications trends and strategies at industry meetings and conferences, including the Mutual Fund Education Alliance and ICI.
Lev brings to JConnelly nearly 20 years of experience in high-stakes communications strategies encompassing public relations, marketing, investor relations, crisis and specialized market research. His current clients include asset managers, ETF strategists, financial technology innovators, wealth advisory firms, broker dealers, distribution platforms and custodians.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Lev served as head of marketing and communications for GMI Ratings, an investment research firm acquired by MSCI. Lev frequently writes about corporate governance, forensic accounting, financial regulation and behavioral finance.
An experienced public relations practitioner and veteran journalist, Tony develops and implements integrated campaigns for JConnelly’s asset management and financial advisor clientele.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Tony served as a Senior Account Executive at SunStar Strategic, where he promoted financial clients, including retail and institutional investment managers, mutual fund firms, financial advisors and sell-side Wall Street analysts.
Previously, he spent 14 years as a producer and reporter for Bloomberg Radio and TV. In 2004, he won the coveted Pink Flamingo award for breaking news coverage.
With more than a decade of high-level PR experience, Tom is a strategic communications professional who has advised numerous C-suite executives on a broad range of issues, including acquisitions, restructuring, bankruptcies, SEC and other official investigations and activist investors. At JConnelly, he specializes in financial, financial technology clients and crisis communications.
Throughout his career, Tom has served clients in industries ranging from investment banking, insurance, money management and other financial services, to law, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, tourism and telecommunications, among others.
Prior to joining JConnelly, Tom was a Director of Corporate Communications for Barclays Capital and Financial Security Assurance. He spent the first 15 years of his career as an award-winning business and financial journalist, serving as bureau chief and columnist for The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg, based in the U.S. and Latin America.
